Entrepreneur In Residence - Strategy & Growth - Founder's Office - IIT/IIM (3-5 yrs)
ABOUT FLIPSPACES:
We are India's fastest growing commercial Design and Build company. We design and deliver commercial offices, retail spaces, and hospitality interiors at speed, for enterprise clients across India and the UAE. Our culture is simple. Outcomes matter more than optics. Ownership matters more than polish. Speed matters more than comfort.
THE ROLE:This role sits close to our founders. You will pick up whatever matters most in the moment, get to the answer quickly, and drive each thing through to a finish. In a single year, you might:
1. Study a new city and build the business case for launching there.
2. Own the board and investor story for a big milestone (data, memo, positioning, follow-through).
3. Sit inside a live operational transformation and help redesign how we deliver 100+ projects at once.
4. Build a new category or product from scratch, from customer research to pricing to how we sell it.
5. Help structure and negotiate a strategic partnership or acquisition.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO: 1. Take tough, open questions from the founders and turn them into a plan we can act on.
2. Do the primary research yourself. Talk to customers, study the competition, spend time on site.
3. Build the numbers behind the decisions (market sizing, unit economics, financial models, scenario work).
4. Write short, clear memos that let the founders decide quickly.
5. Find and pressure test new growth ideas (new segments, new geographies, new categories, new channels).
6. Own the go-to-market for new bets from start to finish (positioning, pricing, sales playbook, launch).
7. Be the person who connects the dots between operations, sales, finance, HR, and design when a problem cuts across teams.
8. Prepare the founders for the important external moments (investor meetings, big client pitches, industry panels).
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
1. One to three years of full time work experience.
2. A full time degree from IIT (any campus) or IIM (any campus). We do not flex on this one.
3. Sharp written and spoken communication. Your work will be read by founders, external partners, and eventually the board. You need to write well and hold your own in a room where the age gap is 15 years.
4. Strong people skills. Half of this job is getting things done without any formal authority. You need to earn the trust of a Head of Operations, a senior vendor, a client CEO, and a factory manager, sometimes in the same week.
5. Structured problem solving with a bias for action. You should be able to take a big, messy question, break it down on a whiteboard, and come back with a working plan within 48 hours.
6. Genuine appetite for ownership. You would rather own 30% of ten different things than 100% of one thing.
BONUS POINTS:
1. Prior time at a top consulting firm (BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Kearney), a VC or PE fund as an associate, an investment bank, or a growth or category role at a well known startup.
2. Some builder DNA. A student startup, a side project you actually shipped, or leadership at your college's entrepreneurship cell all count.
3. Comfort with financial modeling, SQL, and analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase.
