ABOUT THE ROLE

Designation: AGM/DGM - Procurement

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Delhi NCR

Reporting To

Head - Procurement / Director - Operations

Role Overview:

The AGM - Procurement will be responsible for end-to-end procurement strategy and execution across Civil & Interior Works, Modular & Loose Furniture, FF&E, and allied packages for commercial interior fit-out projects. This role is critical in building a cost-efficient, scalable, and quality-driven supply chain that supports high-value, fast-track projects across multiple geographies. The candidate must bring strong domain expertise, vendor ecosystem knowledge, and hands-on execution experience in large-scale commercial interior projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute procurement strategies for Civil, Interior Fit-out, Furniture, and allied packages aligned with project timelines and budgets

- Build category-level sourcing strategies for key materials and services

- Support leadership in transitioning procurement from project-based buying to standardized, scalable systems

2. Vendor Management & Development:

Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors, subcontractors, and manufacturers across:

- Civil & Interior Works

- Modular Furniture

- Loose Furniture

- Carpets, Chairs, Tiles, Joinery & Finishes

- Negotiate rates, commercial terms, credit periods, and SLAs

- Develop long-term vendor partnerships with performance scorecards

- Drive vendor consolidation and preferred supplier programs

3. Cost Control & Value Engineering:

- Lead cost optimization and value engineering initiatives without compromising quality or design intent

- Benchmark market rates and continuously update internal rate cards

- Ensure procurement aligns with approved BOQs, specifications, and samples

4. Project-Level Procurement Execution:

- Coordinate closely with Design, Projects, and Finance teams to ensure seamless procurement execution

- Ensure timely issuance of POs / WOs, tracking of deliveries, and resolution of supply chain risks

- Manage long-lead items proactively to avoid project delays

- Support site teams during execution for material clarifications and vendor coordination

5. Furniture & FF&E Expertise:

- Deep involvement in furniture sourcing, specification finalization, mock-ups, and approvals

- Manage both domestic and international furniture vendors (if applicable)

- Oversee furniture production timelines, quality checks, logistics, and site delivery coordination

6. Quality, Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure all materials and vendors comply with project specs, quality standards, and statutory norms

Maintain proper documentation for:

- Vendor onboarding

- POs/WOs

- Technical submittals & approvals

- Support audits and internal governance requirements

7. Team Leadership & Process Building:

- Build and mentor a procurement team as the business scales

- Establish SOPs, templates, and procurement workflows

- Drive digitization and data-driven procurement tracking

Desired Candidate Profile:

Experience:

- 6-15 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain

- Strong background in Commercial Interior Design & Build / Turnkey Projects

Hands-on experience in:

- Civil & Interior Works procurement

- Furniture & FF&E sourcing

- Large-scale commercial projects (IT offices, MNCs, corporate campuses, coworking, etc.)

Technical & Domain Expertise:

- Strong understanding of BOQs, specifications, materials, finishes, and execution methods

- Deep vendor ecosystem knowledge across India (and international sourcing is a plus)

- Proven negotiation and cost optimization skills

- Ability to manage procurement in fast-track, high-pressure project environments

Behavioral & Leadership Skills:

- Strong ownership mindset and execution focus

- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills

- Structured thinker with problem-solving ability

- Comfortable working in a high-growth, dynamic startup environment

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Supply Chain Management

- MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus
