Job Description - Senior Manager, FK Data Ventures
About the team
Flipkart is building India's most comprehensive market intelligence platform, leveraging first-party data across Flipkart, Myntra, Cleartrip, and Super.Money. We empower leading enterprise and D2C brands (FMCG, Fashion, Electronics) to make strategic decisions across product development, sales planning, marketing segmentation, supply chain optimization, and competitive intelligence. The platform is now live, and we're driving toward product-market fit through monetization with early brand partners. Over time, this will scale to non-endemic companies and 3rd-party data. Our mission is to democratize access to actionable commerce insights and build an independent, high-value, highly profitable business at scale.
About the role
As Senior Manager for FK Data Ventures, you will own business development and brand monetization for Flipkart's market intelligence SaaS platform - from reach-out and pitch through to closing paid engagements and driving renewals/expansion. You'll be the primary link between brand needs and the product roadmap, and between commercial outcomes and customer success execution. This role demands a strong external-facing operator with sharp analytical instincts - someone equally comfortable pitching a CMO and translating their ask into a prioritized product requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Reach-Out & Monetization
- Own the full sales motion: identify and prioritize target brands, lead outreach, pitch the platform, and drive commercial conversations to closure.
- Structure and negotiate monetization deals (pricing tiers, contracts) in partnership with legal and finance.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective brand partners toward PMF and revenue targets.
Brand Engagement & Customer Success
- Work closely with the customer success team to ensure regular engagement with brand POCs - gathering feedback, tracking usage, and driving adoption of the platform.
- Act as a senior escalation point for key brand relationships, ensuring retention and expansion.
Product Roadmap & Prioritization
- Wear the analytical hat: translate brand requirements and feedback into a clear, monetizable product roadmap.
- Partner with product and tech teams to prioritize brand asks, define requirements, and validate that shipped capabilities align with commercial needs.
- Conduct gap analyses between current platform capabilities and what brands need to pay for.
Sales Enablement & Storytelling
- Develop sales collateral - capability decks, ROI calculators, case studies, demo environments - that support pitches and negotiations.
- Create high-quality brand intelligence outputs (diagnostics, competitive benchmarking) that double as proof points in sales conversations.
Stakeholder Communication & Program Management
- Create compelling presentations for internal leadership reviews and customer pitches, with crisp storytelling to align stakeholders and drive decisions.
- Maintain trackers and status updates across the brand pipeline, product asks, and adoption metrics.
- Define and track KPIs for monetization and adoption success; proactively resolve blockers across product, tech, and business teams.
To Succeed in This Role, You Need
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field. MBA from a top-tier institute preferred.
Experience:
7 - 9 years, with a strong mix of:
- Business development / partnerships / sales in e-commerce, SaaS, or consumer-focused industries.
- Working with large FMCG or consumer products brands.
- Management consulting or strategic roles with exposure to consumer/retail sectors.
Skills:
- Proven track record of driving revenue-generating conversations and closing deals with brand/enterprise stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of FMCG/D2C brand operations and decision-making frameworks.
- Strong analytical and data storytelling capabilities; comfortable translating qualitative brand feedback into structured product asks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization tools for executive-grade outputs.
- Exceptional program management skills, with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives across product, tech, and customer success.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-starter with extreme ownership and a bias for action in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to empathize with brand pain points and translate them into monetizable solutions.
- Comfortable operating as both a hunter (new brand acquisition) and a farmer (adoption, expansion, retention).
- Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.
- Intellectual curiosity and continuous learning orientation around commerce data and analytics.
