Role Overview:

The Manager - Last Mile Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to Flipkart's customers. This role involves managing a network of delivery partners, optimizing delivery routes, and implementing strategies to improve delivery speed and customer satisfaction. The Manager collaborates closely with various internal teams, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure smooth and seamless last-mile operations. The impact of this role is directly reflected in enhanced customer experience, reduced delivery costs, and improved overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize last-mile delivery operations, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

- Manage and oversee a network of delivery partners, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and Flipkart's quality standards.

- Analyze delivery data and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to address performance gaps.

- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules, minimizing transit times and maximizing resource utilization.

- Monitor and control last-mile delivery costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

- Develop and implement programs to improve delivery partner performance, including training, incentives, and performance management.

- Resolve escalated delivery issues and customer complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in last-mile delivery, identifying and implementing innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.

- Lead and manage projects related to last-mile operations, ensuring timely completion and achievement of project objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize last-mile delivery operations, including route optimization, delivery partner management, and cost control.

- Proven ability to analyze data and identify trends, using insights to drive operational improvements.

- Strong program management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.

- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in last-mile operations, supply chain management, or logistics.
