Key Responsibilities:
1. Inbound & Outbound Execution & TAT Optimization:
- Drive end-to-end execution of daily inbound and outbound schedules to ensure seamless freight movement across the network.
- Continuously monitor vehicle Turnaround Time (TAT) from gate entry to departure, actively identifying and eliminating dock bottlenecks.
- Enforce strict adherence to loading and unloading time windows to maximize vehicle utilization, maintain delivery SLAs, and prevent downstream supply chain delays.
2. Transport Coordination & Issue Resolution:
- Serve as the primary operational liaison with logistics partners, fleet managers, and linehaul transportation teams to secure timely vehicle placement based on volume forecasts.
- Proactively track vehicle transit schedules, address mid-mile disruptions, and resolve operational issues - such as driver delays, vehicle breakdowns, or load discrepancies - with minimal impact on dispatch schedules.
3. Shift Allocation & Workforce Productivity Management:
- Plan and execute efficient shift rosters and manpower allocation aligned with hourly inbound and outbound volume projections.
- Directly manage on-field supervisors, permanent staff, and contingent labor to optimize productivity metrics, such as Units Per Hour (UPH) and pick/pack accuracy.
- Monitor labor efficiency, control overtime costs, and foster an accountable, high-performance work environment across all operational shifts.
4. Safety, Compliance & SOP Adherence:
- Enforce strict compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and workplace health and safety (HSE) standards throughout the hub.
- Oversee safe material handling, proper equipment usage (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), and structured inventory storage protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits, implement 5S workplace standards, and ensure full compliance with local labor and facility regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
5. Operational Challenge Resolution & Continuous Improvement:
- Act as the first line of escalation for resolving real-time operational bottlenecks at the hub level.
- Troubleshoot facility disruptions, equipment downtime, inventory misplacements, and system errors in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, linehaul, and network planning teams to implement root-cause solutions and drive continuous improvement across daily hub operations.
