FLIN - Accounting & Finance Manager - Regional SEA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Closing:

- Own the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process including MIS, Financial Statements, Balance Sheet reconciliation, General Ledger integrity, Journal review, Closing schedules, Audit schedules, Inter-company accounting, Consolidation, and Cross-border reporting.

2. Lending Portfolio Accounting:

- Own accounting for FLIN's lending portfolio including loan accounting, IRR and Effective Interest Rate (EIR), Amortized Cost, Deferred fees, Accrued interest, Fee recognition, Loan modifications, Write-offs, Recoveries, and Portfolio movements.

3. Financial Control & Reconciliation:

- Develop robust reconciliation frameworks across bank accounts, Metabase, Loan Management System, General Ledger, Collections, and Investor reporting.

4. IFRS & Technical Accounting:

- Lead technical accounting for IFRS 9, 7, 15, IAS 21, 32, and 39. Provide guidance for new products, FX accounting, cross-border transactions, fair value adjustments, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL).

5. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering:

- Partner with leadership to evaluate product profitability, unit economics, portfolio profitability, Customer Lifetime Value, CAC, Cost-to-income, ROA, ROE, and yield analysis.

6. Treasury & Foreign Exchange:

- Support treasury activities including multi-currency accounting, FX gain/loss analysis, USD-SGD-IDR-PHP reporting, cash flow analysis, and funding utilization.

7. Audit, Tax & Compliance:

- Coordinate with external audit, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure audit readiness.

8. Process Improvement & Automation:

- Drive finance transformation through automation, dashboard reporting, and improved internal controls.

Experience:

- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance.

- Prior experience in consumer lending, fintech, banking, NBFC, or financial services is mandatory.

- Strong understanding of lending portfolio accounting.

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field.

- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, Xero, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
