Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Head to lead and optimize trailer fleet operations across India.

This role is responsible for ensuring efficient fleet utilization, cost control, regulatory compliance, and seamless logistics operations to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in fleet management within the logistics industry, along with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Management

- Oversee and manage the nationwide trailer fleet to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency

- Monitor fleet performance and implement strategies to enhance productivity

2. Operations & Logistics Coordination

- Plan and execute fleet movements aligned with business requirements and customer timelines

- Ensure timely deliveries and smooth coordination across locations

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations, fuel, maintenance, and repairs

- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality

4. Maintenance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards

- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve asset life

5. Vendor & Supplier Management

- Manage relationships with vendors for spare parts, fuel, insurance, and services

- Negotiate contracts to achieve cost efficiency and service quality

6. Driver Management

- Oversee driver hiring, training, and performance management

- Ensure compliance with safety norms and driving standards

7. Technology & Automation

- Implement and leverage fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and analytics tools

- Use technology to improve visibility, tracking, and operational efficiency

8. Risk & Safety Management

- Identify operational risks and implement robust safety policies

- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations across India

Key Requirements:

- MBA with 15+ years of experience in logistics and fleet management

- Proven experience managing large-scale trailer fleets (PAN India exposure preferred)

- Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance, and safety standards

- Expertise in cost control, vendor management, and operational optimization

- Experience in implementing fleet technology and automation tools

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Prior experience in senior leadership roles within logistics/transport organizations

- Ability to manage high-volume, multi-location operations

- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
