Position Overview:

As the DC Head, you will own the end-to-end operations of our central fulfillment hub. You will be responsible for scaling a highly sensitive, tech-driven supply chain that handles fresh produce (FnV), dairy, cold-chain items, and clean-label staples. You will bridge the gap between high-velocity quick commerce operations and rigid, pharmaceutical-grade quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
A) DC Operations (Warehouse):
- Inbound & QC
- Ensure smooth inwarding (Vendor + STN)
- Enforce strict QC checks (qty, MRP, expiry, quality)
- Control over-inwarding vs PO/Indent
- Reduce dock-to-stock time
- Inventory Management
- Maintain >99% inventory accuracy
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance
- Monitor DOH by category:
1. FnV: 12 days
2. Dry: 57 days
- Minimize shrinkage & wastage
- Storage & Putaway
- Optimize bin utilization (Dry / Chiller / Freezer / FnV zones)
- Ensure proper slotting for fast-moving SKUs
- Maintain hygiene & compliance standards
- Picking & Dispatch to Stores
- Ensure timely picking for all STNs
- Zero short-pick / wrong-pick errors
- Align dispatch schedules with store replenishment cycles
B) Line Haul Operations (DC Clubhouses):
- Plan daily dispatch waves (slot-based replenishment)
- Optimize vehicle utilization (capacity vs trips)
- Ensure on-time dispatch & delivery to stores
- Cost Optimization
- Reduce per unit moved / per trip
- Improve drop density per route
- Manage fleet mix (3W / 4W / trucks)
- Route & Network Efficiency
- Optimize routes based on cluster geography
- Reduce turnaround time (TAT)
- Ensure minimal idle time at DC and stores
C) Coordination & Control Tower Alignment:
Work closely with:
1. Inventory/Planning team (for indents & ARS)
2. Store ops (for replenishment needs)
3. Control tower (for real-time issue resolution)
Ensure no stockouts due to DC or line haul delays
D. Team Management:
Manage warehouse teams:
1. Inwarding
2. Putaway
3. Pickers/dispatch
Manage line haul team:
1. Drivers / fleet vendors
2. Drive productivity and shift planning
