Analyst - Equity Research


About the Role:


We are seeking a high-caliber Equity Research Analyst to join our investment advisory platform and work on a dedicated basis for one of our large family office clients. The role spans listed and unlisted equities across sectors, combining deep financial analysis with qualitative research and field-level insights.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial and intellectually stimulating environment, directly influencing investment decisions for a long-term, fundamentals-driven investor.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Research & Analysis:

- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies across listed and private markets.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, relative valuation, scenario analysis).

- Prepare investment memos, thematic notes, and periodic portfolio reviews.

Primary & Secondary Research:

- Perform channel checks, supplier/customer interviews, and expert calls to validate assumptions.

- Track industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments.

- Analyze management commentary, annual reports, concall transcripts, and analyst reports.

Investment Process Support:

- Work closely with the family office investment team to generate and refine investment ideas.

- Prepare presentations and briefing materials for investment committee discussions.

- Monitor portfolio companies and update on performance, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Strong academic background (CA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent from top tier institutes).

- 4 to 7 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, private equity.

- Proven ability to build robust financial models and analyze company financials in depth.

- Familiarity with valuation methodologies: DCF, FCFF, relative multiples, transaction comps.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex insights.

- Self-starter mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to go beyond desk research (channel checks, expert calls, site visits).

- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
