Business Analyst ; 7 - 12 years

Location - Hyderabad , Hybrid

Responsibilities:

- Work with data architects to design dimensional models for banking data (star schemas, snowflakes)

- Define ETL/ELT requirements for loading banking transactions, customer data, and reference data

- Specify data validation rules and reconciliation processes

- Work with stakeholders (business users, IT teams, regulators) to document data and reporting requirements.

- Define source-to-target mappings for banking data (transactions, customer info, risk data etc) and analyze and validate data models (star schema, snowflake) for the warehouse.

- Design dashboards for risk management, customer analytics, and financial reporting and Support regulatory and compliance reporting needs

- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate banking data.

- Exposure in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows align with business rules

- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new data feeds and reports.

- Define data quality rules (completeness, accuracy, consistency) and monitor them.

- Maintain data dictionaries and lineage for audit and governance.

- Bridge the gap between business users (risk, finance teams) and technical teams (ETL developers).

Technical Skills:

- SQL expertise (complex queries, performance tuning)

- Data warehouse concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions)

- Banking data knowledge (GL accounts, transactions, customer hierarchies)

- ETL tools ( ADF, Snowflake, INFORMATICA, DataStage, SSIS,)

- BI tools (Power BI,SSRS)

Domain Knowledge:

- Understanding of banking products and operations (Personal Banking, Business Banking, Commercial & Corporate Banking)

- Regulatory reporting requirements

- Risk management concepts and Customer segmentation methodologies
