Role Overview:

The Sales Team Lead - Personal Loans will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, strengthening market positioning, and ensuring business scalability.

The role demands strategic leadership, team empowerment, and market-driven execution to achieve aggressive disbursement targets while maintaining portfolio quality and compliance excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales team with a focus on productivity, capability-building, and retention.

- Establish a performance-driven culture by setting ambitious KPIs, mentoring future leaders, and fostering accountability.

- Drive sales transformation by introducing innovative selling techniques and data-driven decision-making.

Business Growth & Sales Strategy:

- Design and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly business targets.

- Identify growth opportunities by expanding channels, optimizing lead sources, and enhancing conversion strategies.

- Strengthen customer and channel partner relationships to maximize wallet share and repeat business.

Compliance, Governance & Risk Management:

- Ensure full adherence to credit policies, compliance frameworks, and ethical business practices.

- Maintain a balance between growth and portfolio quality through disciplined sourcing and vigilant monitoring.

- Partner with risk and compliance teams to proactively address portfolio trends and mitigate risks.

Market Intelligence & Business Innovation:

- Analyze competitor strategies, customer insights, and market shifts to recommend product enhancements and tactical interventions.

- Act as a key feedback loop for management on new opportunities, customer experience, and competitive differentiation.

- Introduce best practices in sales operations to enhance efficiency, speed, and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Proven leadership acumen with the ability to manage, motivate, and scale high-performing teams.

- Strong business development and strategic thinking skills with a track record of delivering results in competitive markets.

- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Sound knowledge of retail lending products, credit policies, and financial services landscape.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business metrics and translate them into actionable strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related field.

- 5-8 years of progressive experience in personal loan sales or consumer finance, with at least 2+ years in a team leadership capacity.

- Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale disbursements and manage high-performance sales teams
