This is a rare opportunity to be the Finance hire at a fast-growing, VC-backed fintech startup. You will not be maintaining a system. You will be building one.

Working directly with the founders, you will own accounting, reporting, regulatory filings, and internal controls. If you are a CA/CS who thrives in ambiguity and wants your work to directly shape how a company runs, this is for you.

About the Company

Our client is a VC-backed fintech startup solving cross-border banking and wealth management for Non-Resident Indians. The NRI segment is large, under served, and financially complex. The team is small, the problems are real, and the finance function is yours to build.

What the Role Entails

- Own end-to-end accounting from bookkeeping to month-close and financial statements

- Manage regulatory filings and compliance across applicable fintech and RBI frameworks

- Build internal financial controls from scratch

- Prepare MIS reports, board-level summaries, and investor-ready financials

- Handle cross-border payment reconciliation and multi-currency accounting

- Partner with founders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Set up systems, processes, and vendors as the company scales

The Role Holder

- Qualified CA, CS is an added advantage

- 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in finance, fintech, or a regulated environment

- Hands-on experience with cross-border payments or multi-currency operations

- Comfortable being the only finance person and building structure from the ground up

- Can communicate clearly with founders, not just finance teams
