Objective: 1. He / She would be responsible for proper and timely closure of accounting and other transactions to generate timely and accurate financial reports, generating monthly, quarterly and year end account closing process, handling various audit processes and ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory/ other legislative requirements including. 2. He / She will have the responsibility for reviewing financial transactions, general ledgers, accounting, improve financial system and processes, responsible for all account reconciliations with various sub systems like Investment systems and Policy Admin systems. Responsibilities 1. Financial Statements a) Overall responsibility for the GLs financial system of the Company and responsible for all aspects of finance, accounts and statutory matters, for both Indian GAAP and INDAS b) Responsible for submission of IFRS compliant financial statements for holding company c) Provide the required information / data from financial systems to the various stakeholders. Ensure the maintenance of company's general ledgers and all schedules / reconciliations available as required Oversee maintenance of Financials and interfaces between systems other applications and review reconciliation as required. d) Resolve accounting issues and responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, review the reports prepared e) Ensure activities relating to the function comply with relevant Acts, and ethical standards, Public Disclosures, and other statutory & regulatory compliances f) Ensure smooth conduct of audit of statutory and internal accounts and liaison with auditors to achieve timely completion of audit. Also ensure that processes are made sufficiently robust to ensure audit points are not repeated. g) Calculation of Required Solvency Margin as per IRDAI regulations. Ownership for calculation of Various IRDAI returns e.g. compliance with Expenses of management etc. 2. Internal Reporting: a) Preparation of Financial Highlights on Monthly Basis 3. Competitors Analysis: a) Review of Peer group comparison of Financial statements b) Review of data analytics for different parameters Skills required: Professional accounting qualification, i.e. CA/CWA with minimum 2-3 years of post qualification experience in the similar field
