Role Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre Financial Planning Manager to support strategic decision-making for one of Indias leading business houses. The role will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting, working closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
This position offers strong exposure to large-scale operations, complex business models, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process across business units.
- Develop detailed financial models to support strategic planning, capex decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Drive alignment between business plans and financial outcomes.
Performance Management & Analysis
- Track and analyse actuals vs budget / forecast, identify variances, and present actionable insights.
- Prepare management dashboards, MIS, and performance packs for senior leadership.
- Support profitability, cost optimisation, and margin improvement initiatives.
Strategic & Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to business heads, enabling data-driven decisions.
- Evaluate new initiatives, investments, and business proposals from a financial perspective.
- Support long-range planning and scenario analysis.
Governance, Controls & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting timelines.
- Collaborate with accounting, regulatory reporting, and audit teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in board-level and leadership presentations as required.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance).
- 48 years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, or business finance.
- Experience in large corporates, conglomerates, MNCs, or Big 4 advisory preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / financial tools; exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and business drivers.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
