Financial Planning & Analyst - Metals & Mining/Manufacturing Industry

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Planning and Analyst to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to develop financial plans, forecasts, and budgets. Your analysis will directly impact the company's profitability, growth, and overall financial health, ensuring we make informed decisions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts by collaborating with department heads to align financial plans with strategic objectives.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance.

- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, providing insightful commentary on variances and recommending corrective actions to senior management.

- Lead the capital allocation process by evaluating investment proposals, performing financial modeling, and recommending projects that maximize return on investment.

- Drive performance management initiatives by developing and monitoring key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.

- Support strategic planning activities by providing financial analysis and insights to inform long-term business decisions.

- Build and maintain financial models to support various business scenarios, including pricing analysis, cost optimization, and new product development.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls by implementing and monitoring appropriate procedures.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and build complex financial models.

- Proven ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences, presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner.

- Strong understanding of financial planning processes, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management techniques.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.

- Proficiency in using financial planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

- Adaptable to an on-site work environment in Mumbai.
