Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Noida (with travel to Hyderabad and other locations as required)

Reporting To: Chief Strategy Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Financial Controller to lead and structure our finance and accounts function. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in a build-from-scratch environment and can establish robust systems, controls, statutory processes, and reporting frameworks across a fast-growing organization. You will be the go-to person for everything finance.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and lead the finance team from the ground up

- Design and implement scalable finance processes, systems, and controls

- Streamline current operations and bring best practices to financial management

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control measures

- Present periodic financials and business insights to the CSO and leadership team

- Ensure full compliance with all statutory obligations tax, GST, ROC, audit, etc.

- Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies

- Oversee all financial audits and filings

- Build a robust MIS and reporting infrastructure

- Deliver timely and accurate reports for management and investor review

- Automate data capture and improve analytical insights across locations

- Work closely with operations, HR, and business heads to drive financial efficiency

- Support strategic decisions with data-backed financial insights

- Travel periodically to ensure financial oversight across locations

Key Requirements

- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in finance and accounts, preferably in fast-growing startups, retail, or hospitality

- Strong grasp of statutory laws, audits, compliance frameworks, and financial governance

- Proven experience in building finance departments or processes from scratch

- High attention to detail with ability to work independently

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred

- MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification (optional if CA)

- Experience with finance software/tools like Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.

- Exposure to multi-location operations and financial consolidation
