Role: Financial Controller Large Projects

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 20+ years

Age: Below 50 years

Key Requirements:

- 20+ years of overall experience in finance, with strong grounding in project finance controllership, project accounting, and capex governance

- Must have independently handled individual projects of 3,000 Cr+ this is a non-negotiable criterion

- Experience across large-scale infrastructure / major capex projects

- Strong understanding of CWIP, capitalisation, cost-to-complete, cost overruns, change orders, and milestone certification

- Experience in project controls, governance, audit, and risk escalation

- Strong exposure to Ind AS, capex accounting, tax incentives, and project-related controls

- Ability to independently challenge project numbers and provide an enterprise-level view to the CFO / senior management

- Exposure to AI / automation in finance and project controls will be an advantage

Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant / CMA (or equivalent finance qualification) preferred

- Currently based in or open to relocating to Mumbai

- Below 50 years of age

- Demonstrated track record of end-to-end financial controllership on large, complex infrastructure or capex-heavy projects not portfolio-level or consolidated oversight alone

- Comfortable operating at a senior level, engaging directly with CFO and enterprise leadership on project performance and risk

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end financial controllership and governance for large infrastructure / capex projects (3,000 Cr+ each)

- Monitor and control CWIP, capitalisation, cost-to-complete, cost overruns, change orders, and milestone certification

- Establish and strengthen project controls, governance frameworks, audit readiness, and risk escalation mechanisms

- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, capex accounting standards, and applicable tax incentive frameworks

- Independently review and challenge project numbers submitted by project teams; provide an enterprise-level, CFO-facing view

- Drive adoption of AI / automation tools within finance and project controls processes
