Financial Controller - FMCG/Hospitality/Retail

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and driving financial efficiency. This role is critical to support company's growth in the competitive FMCG/ice cream industry, requiring strong business acumen, cost control, and strategic planning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Reporting

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.-

- Prepare and present MIS, financial statements, and variance analysis.-

- Develop rolling forecasts and budgets aligned with business goals.-

- Monitor cash flows, working capital, and treasury management.

2. Costing & Profitability

- Implement robust cost control systems for raw materials, production, logistics, and distribution.-

- Conduct plant-level cost audits (material yield, wastage, energy costs, manpower).-

- Monitor product pricing and margin analysis to support business decisions.

3. Compliance & Controls

- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.).-

- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.-

- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and SOP adherence.

4. Business Partnering

- Work closely with Sales, Production, and Supply Chain teams for financial insights.-

- Support new product launches with costing and profitability studies.-

- Provide decision support for capex, expansion projects, and investments.

5. Leadership & Team Development

- Lead and mentor the finance team at corporate and factory level.-

- Drive digital adoption (ERP, dashboards, automation) in finance.-

- Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

- CA (Finance) with strong academic background.-

- 10-15 years of finance experience, preferably in FMCG / dairy / ice cream sector.-

- Proven track record in financial reporting, costing, and compliance.-

- Strong ERP knowledge (SAP).-

- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
