Financial Controller Reports to CFO Location: Mumbai (Only local candidates please apply) Qualification: CA Experience: 15 - 20 years Job Responsibilities - Ensuring monthly internal audits by an external firm and lead the corrective actions / MAP for the issues highlighted. Monthly update to CFO and Quarterly update to Senior Management. - Build a Strong Internal Control Environment by establishing a robust Chart of Authority matrix covering majority of business transactions. - Implement and monitor the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation process to ensure no surprises and timely corrective action. - Stabilize and leverage the new finance operating model to better support the business growth and make it future ready. - Ensure the SAP master data is accurate and in line with the standard master data management requirement. - Co-ordinate with the Secretarial and legal team to ensure secretarial and legal compliances for all the legal entities. - Monitor the existence of Internal Control over the Financial Reporting framework (ICFR) and its audit by the external firm to ensure compliance requirements. - Lead the entire financial accounting for all the 6 legal entities as per INDAS requirements. - Lead and manage the entire Direct tax strategy and its execution. - Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax filings. - Institutionalize the process of identifying and capturing the future data needs proactively on monthly basis in coordination with Tax consultants. - Implement and monitor the monthly closing and reporting process by 7th of the next month by leveraging SAP capabilities. - Facilitate the management accounting team in detailed variance analysis and projections as well as in monitoring the actual expense against the budgets. - Lead the preparation of various regular and adhoc reports for the senior management. - Ensure efficient Fixed Assets reconciliation and verification process and drive it through monthly updates in compliance to company policy. - Ensure the accurate and timely capitalization of New Plants currently under construction. - Establish SLAs for various routine finance and accounting activities to have complete transparency. - Ensure robust monthly metrics to track various KPIs benchmarked with the industry best practices. - Manage the end to end Vendor management including reconciliation, payments and dispute resolution in co-ordination with the procurement team. - Manage the cash flow planning and its daily monitoring for all the group companies. - Facilitate the routine banking relationship to ensure best rates and services from all the banks in co-ordination with CFO. - Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly statements to all the banks. - Ensure regular meetings with key stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities for improvement. - Lead the implementation of SAP S4 Hana with IT team. - Leverage technology and automation to incorporate the best industry practices in the area of accounts and finance. - Ensure Monthly Knowledge-sharing sessions for the entire team for capability building.
