Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Finance Controller to lead the financial management, compliance, reporting, and strategic planning functions for our operations in West Africa. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial controls, budgeting, taxation, audit management, and business partnering within a multi-location business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall finance and accounting operations for the business.

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

- Develop, monitor, and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans.

- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.

- Manage internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.

- Drive financial planning, profitability analysis, and performance monitoring.

- Oversee treasury, working capital management, and banking relationships.

- Partner with business leaders to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

- Ensure accurate accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting in line with IFRS and company policies.

- Lead and mentor the finance team while promoting continuous process improvements.

Must Have:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or Financial Management roles.

- Experience working within technology, engineering, manufacturing, EPC, industrial, or multinational environments preferred.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, governance, and financial compliance.

- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.

- Hands-on experience managing audits, controls, treasury, and statutory reporting.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills.

- Experience working in Africa or other international markets will be an advantage.

- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
