Financial Controller - Family Office/Group Business

About the Role:

Our client is a multi-generational, family-run business with diversified interests. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to serve as the central coordinator for all financial matters across the family group - ensuring fair distribution of profits, efficient expense management, transparent investment tracking, and full statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial discipline, discretion, and the ability to manage complex inter-family transactions while maintaining harmony and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Coordination & Reporting:

- Consolidate and monitor all group and family financial activities.

- Prepare regular MIS reports and maintain transparent ledgers for each family branch.

- Ensure fair allocation of expenses and profit sharing based on agreed parameters.

Budgeting & Controls:

- Coordinate budgets and monitor expenditures for each business and family member's operations.

- Identify and implement cost control measures.

Investment Management:

- Track all group and family investments (real estate, hospitality, equities, etc.).

- Liaise with advisors, bankers, and auditors to ensure timely reporting and portfolio updates.

Compliance & Statutory Oversight:

- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (GST, TDS, ROC filings, etc.).

- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and filings.

Governance & Communication:

- Establish structured reporting systems.

- Maintain neutrality and confidentiality while communicating with all family stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant, or MBA in Finance.

- 8-15 years of experience in finance, preferably in family offices, multi-entity groups, or diversified businesses.

- Strong grasp of taxation, accounting, and investment reporting.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, and maturity in managing family dynamics.

- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems.

Remuneration:
