Financial Controller - Engineering/Industrial Manufacturing

Role: Financial Controller

- Location: Pune (Chakan Industrial Area)

- Industry: Engineering / Industrial Manufacturing

- Experience: 5-7 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)

- Reporting to: CFO / Managing Director

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Governance & Plant Accounting

- Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes for the unit, ensuring compliance with Ind AS.

- Inventory Control: Oversee valuation of Raw Materials and Work-in-Progress (WIP); manage quarterly physical stock audits at the plant.

- Oversee and finalise accounts. Prepare periodic MIS reports incl. monthly, quarterly and annual MIS.

2. Budgeting & Working Capital

- Drive annual budgeting and monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budgeted Cost).

- Optimize working capital by managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensuring timely vendor payments (AP).

- Liaise with banks for Letter of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantees (BG)-crucial for engineering contracts.

3. Compliance & Taxation (Pune/Maharashtra Context)

- Ensure full compliance with GST (ITC reconciliations, GSTR-1, 3B, and 9C).

- Coordinate with statutory auditors and manage internal audit cycles.

Candidate Profile

- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA (ICWA) is mandatory.

- Minimum five years of post qualification experience

- Soft Skills: Ability to collaborate with functional heads and sales team.
