Financial Controller - EdTech - CA

Description: The Financial Controller will be the strategic financial partner to the leadership team, responsible for end-to-end financial planning, investor relations, reporting, compliance, and governance. Youll lead all aspects of accounting, MIS, audit, and risk management while building robust financial systems that support the companys next phase of growth, both in India and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Planning:

- Drive financial strategy aligned with business goals and scaling plans.

- Develop long-term financial models and scenario-based forecasts for growth and expansion.

Investor Relations:

- Manage financial communications and reporting to investors and the board.

- Prepare reports, quarterly updates, and due diligence materials.

- Build credibility with investors through transparency and insight-driven reporting.

Financial Reporting & MIS:

- Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Streamline MIS processes for better decision-making and agility.

Accounting, Audit & Compliance:

- Lead accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance.

- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.

International Banking & Treasury:

- Manage global banking relationships, cross-border payments, and forex risk.

Risk Management:

- Identify, assess, and mitigate key financial and operational risks.

- Establish internal control frameworks and compliance protocols.

- Ensure fiscal discipline across business units and geographies.

Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.

10-12 years experience - with strong back ground of controllership in a start-up environment.

EdTech background is a strong plus.
