Were hiring a Financial Controller for a fast-growing direct-to-consumer lifestyle and apparel brand that has scaled from a small setup to one of Indias top 1% Shopify stores - known for its simplicity, comfort, and sustainability in womens fashion. The brand operates across its own website, major e-commerce marketplaces, and offline retail stores.

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and trustworthy Financial Controller to lead and strengthen the finance function. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in D2C, e-commerce, retail, or consumer brands, and will establish robust processes, ensure compliance, and provide data-driven insights to fuel sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations - payables, receivables, reconciliations, and banking.

- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and dashboards for leadership decision-making.

- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital.

- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings) and coordinate with auditors.

- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and SOPs.

- Analyze margins, unit economics, and drive profitability improvements.

- Manage vendor payments, expense approvals, and financial discipline.

- Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

- Lead and develop the finance & accounts team.

- Provide e-commerce-specific insights (CAC, LTV, ROAS, etc.) to guide business strategy.

Must-Have Qualifications:

- CA preferred; MBA (Finance) or M.Com with strong experience may also apply.

- 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and reporting within D2C/e-commerce/retail environments.

- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, and statutory compliance.

- Proficient with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel/BI tools.

- Proven ability to build financial systems and processes for scale.

- High integrity, analytical mindset, and team leadership skills.
