About the Role:

We are a fast-growing SaaS company seeking a seasoned and hands-on Finance Controller to lead our finance and accounting function.

This role will oversee the end-to-end finance operations, ensure compliance with US and India GAAP, manage audits, and partner with leadership to drive financial performance.

This is a remote role with strong cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

The ideal candidate is a qualified CA or CPA with a background in SaaS and experience managing international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the finance & accounting department, reporting directly to the CFO or CEO.

- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process across global entities.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and India GAAP accounting standards.

- Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606, contract accounting, and deferred revenue treatment.

- Manage annual audits (US & India), coordinate with auditors and external consultants.

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for domestic and international operations.

- Establish and improve financial controls, processes, and automation strategies.

- Work with cross-functional teams (legal, HR, sales ops, etc.) on compliance and financial decision-making.

- Prepare and present management reports, board presentations, and investor materials as needed.

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

- 1015 years of progressive finance & accounting experience with at least 35 years in SaaS or tech industry.

- Hands-on experience with US GAAP & India GAAP compliance and reporting.

- Proven experience in leading audits, statutory filings, and cross-border compliance.

- Prior team management and leadership experience; able to lead a lean but high-performing finance team.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
