Role Overview:

Our client, a leading listed organization in the leisure and hospitality sector, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead its financial reporting and governance mandate.

In this role, you will serve as a key finance leader, responsible for overseeing statutory reporting, consolidation, regulatory compliance, and internal financial controls across the organization. Working closely with the CFO, business leaders, and external auditors, you will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information while strengthening governance and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finalizing, and presenting a true and fair view of the financial position of the company by supervising, reviewing and preparing financial statements viz. P&L Account, Balance Sheet, cash flows and annual reports.

2. Leveraging SAP, Hyperion and other BI tools to drive Simplification, Automation and Accuracy leading to seamless reporting.

3. Consolidation of Accounts including foreign entities based on strong understanding of INDAS, FAS, IGAAP.

4. Driving compliances related to direct and indirect taxation including advisory and litigation in close coordination with the taxation team.

5. Lead Internal audits; designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial controls & Risk Management.

6. Secretarial compliances - SEBI related compliances while working in close coordination with Secretarial function.

7. Spearheading the centralized processing for P2P and other activities

8. Engaging with Marketing, Legal, HR & Admin teams to drive efficiencies and strengthen processes.

9. Digitization/ Planning and implementation of technological upgrades.

Required Skillset:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience.

- Strong experience managing accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation for a listed entity within a multi-entity / multinational environment.

- Deep expertise in IND AS, IGAAP, and corporate finance principles.

- Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and listed entity compliance requirements.

- Solid understanding of direct and indirect taxation frameworks, including coordination on assessments and litigation matters.

- Extensive experience managing statutory and internal audits, with a strong focus on internal financial controls (IFC) and risk management.

- Hands-on exposure to ERP and reporting systems such as SAP FICO and Hyperion; experience in automation or system enhancement initiatives preferred.

- Strong financial planning and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.

- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
