Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, driving strategic financial planning, and maintaining robust internal controls. You will collaborate closely with the senior management team, department heads, and external auditors to provide insightful financial analysis and support informed decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing financial performance, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, ultimately contributing to the company's sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to align financial plans with strategic objectives and monitor performance against targets.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement, providing actionable insights to management.

- Manage the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate costing of products/services, analyzing cost drivers, and implementing cost control measures to improve operational efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes, and manage tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

- Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment, implementing policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit, addressing any audit findings and implementing corrective actions.

- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial planning.

- Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, taxation principles, compliance, and risk management.

- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.

- Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

- Adaptable to an on-site work environment in Mumbai.
