Financial Controller - BFSI

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Controller Manager to lead the company's financial planning, reporting, compliance, and internal control functions. This role will work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial accuracy, strengthen governance, and provide strategic insights that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic business decisions.

- Financial Reporting: Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, tax compliance (GST, TDS, etc.), and manage audits with external auditors and consultants.

- Internal Controls: Establish and strengthen financial controls, processes, and SOPs to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor cash flows, optimize working capital, and ensure financial stability for ongoing operations and expansion.

- Leadership Collaboration: Partner with founders and leadership teams to provide financial insights, cost analysis, and profitability tracking.

- Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring smooth functioning of accounting, reporting, and financial operations.

- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial controlling roles.

- Strong experience in financial reporting, compliance, and audit management.

- Hands-on expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.

- Good understanding of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial regulations in India.

- Experience working in startup, D2C, retail, or consumer brands will be a plus.

- Strong analytical mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.

- CA / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) preferred.
