Role Overview:
The Finance Controller will lead the company's financial controllership function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, statutory compliance, and scalable finance operations. This role will work closely with the CFO and leadership team to provide financial insights, strengthen governance, and support strategic business decisions during a high-growth phase.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Controllership:
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
- Drive accounting excellence across manufacturing, inventory, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and inter-company transactions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Lead statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Internal Controls & Governance:
- Design and strengthen financial controls across procurement, manufacturing, inventory, treasury, and revenue cycles.
- Build scalable SOPs and governance frameworks to support rapid organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management practices.
Business Finance & Decision Support:
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, sales, and operations teams.
- Monitor margins, manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and working capital.
- Provide actionable financial insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance controllership team.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, ownership, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
Ideal Candidate:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1015 years of progressive finance experience.
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, EV, industrial, engineering, or consumer durable industries is strongly preferred.
- Technical aspects of accounting.
- Manufacturing accounting & inventory controls.
- Cost accounting.
- Internal controls and governance.
- GST and direct taxation.
- Audit management.
- Experience working in high-growth, PE/VC-backed, or listed companies is desirable.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
