Financial Controller
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management, and be capable of managing a team of finance professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely completion of statutory and internal audits.
Cash Flow & Risk Management:
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate financial performance and recommend improvements in operational efficiency.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, sales, HR) to align financial goals.
- Present financial insights to senior management and support business decision-making.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Support fundraising, M&A, or investment activities with financial due diligence and reporting.
- Implement and maintain ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks).
- Drive automation and digitization of finance processes where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Experience handling financial audits, MIS reporting, and compliance documentation.
