Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end financial management - consolidate multi-currency P&L and present monthly business reviews to leadership
- Monitor destination-level margins, markup adherence, and profitability KPIs in close coordination with operations managers
- Manage vendor payment schedules, advance settlements, and credit terms suppliers across destinations
- Oversee booking-level revenue recognition, ensuring sales data from Salesforce / Sembark /tally / Eprompt etc integrates accurately into financial reports
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting for each destination vertical; track actuals vs. budget with variance commentary
- Design and enforce internal financial controls - approvals matrix, expense policies, SOPs for cash advances and reimbursements
- Manage statutory compliance: GST, TDS, FEMA (for overseas payments), income tax filings, and ROC requirements
- Oversee accounts payable / receivable cycles, ensuring turnaround benchmarks are met for agent collections and vendor disbursements
- Evaluate pricing models for group tours, FIT packages, and MICE - provide margin guidance to sales and ops teams before confirmation
- Lead monthly MIS preparation, including incentive computations for the DMC operations team in line with approved incentive frameworks
- Drive audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors, banks, and legal advisors
- Participate in technology adoption initiatives - assist in configuring financial modules within Salesforce or other ERP tools
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- MBA Finance (premium Institute only)
- 3-4 years post-qualification
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills - pivot-based MIS, scenario modelling, dynamic dashboards
