Financial Controller
Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional to manage day-to-day accounting, GST & taxation compliance, MIS reporting, and financial controls across multiple entities / businesses under a family office structure. The role requires strong fundamentals in accounting and taxation with the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Book Closure
- Handle end-to-end accounting for group entities
- Ensure monthly book closure with proper reconciliations
- Maintain accurate GL, bank reconciliations, vendor & customer accounts
- Post journal entries, provisions, accruals, and depreciation
- Support finalization of accounts
2. GST & Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns
- Perform GST reconciliations (2B vs books) and ITC tracking
- Manage TDS/TCS compliance and related filings
- Support income tax returns, advance tax workings, and tax audits
- Handle routine tax notices and queries with consultants
3. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Track expenses, revenues, and cost centers across businesses
- Support budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring
- Provide data and reports to management as required
4. Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist in statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit
- Maintain documentation and schedules for auditors
- Ensure compliance with basic statutory requirements
- Support implementation of internal controls and SOPs
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Support
- Coordinate with CA firms, consultants, bankers, and vendors
- Work closely with internal teams across different group entities
- Support ad-hoc finance and compliance requirements of management
Candidate Profile
Qualification
CA Inter / CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in:
Skill Requirements
Strong knowledge of:
- Accounting fundamentals
- GST & TDS
- MIS preparation
Hands-on experience with:
- Tally / ERP systems
- Advanced Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
