Financial Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial and accounting operations of the company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and reporting to ensure the company's financial health and integrity.

As a senior finance leader, you will work closely with the CFO and business leaders to provide insights that support key decision-making and help drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or IFRS.

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax filings (GST, TDS, income tax), audits, and other regulatory filings.

- Coordinate with external auditors and manage statutory, internal, and tax audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads.

- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights.

Accounting Operations:

- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

- Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds to meet operational needs.

- Optimize working capital and manage banking relationships.

Financial Analysis & Strategic Support:

- Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, cost control, and revenue optimization.

- Support the leadership team with financial models, investment proposals, and ROI analysis.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.

- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory; CPA or CMA is a plus.

- 4-6 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a senior finance/controller role.

- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, Companies Act, and accounting standards.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.

- Experience in managing audits, banking, and investor relations (preferred).
