Financial Controller

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our organization.

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, compliance with statutory regulations, and support for strategic financial planning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of business finance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts, general ledger, and chart of accounts.

- Supervise accounting functions including AR/AP, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.

- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget adherence across departments.

- Develop rolling forecasts and conduct variance analysis with actionable insights.

- Support business heads in financial planning and resource allocation.

- Manage internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure with clean reports.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting

requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, etc.).

- Maintain and implement robust internal controls and risk management practices.

- Monitor daily cash flows, bank positions, and working capital needs.

- Manage banking relationships and ensure efficient fund management.

- Evaluate financing options and manage loan and interest obligations.

- Conduct cost analysis and drive initiatives to optimize cost structures.

- Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to improve profitability.

- Prepare financial dashboards and KPIs for performance tracking.

- Drive automation and ERP implementation/improvement for financial systems.

- Standardize financial processes across business units and functions.

- Ensure data integrity and timely MIS reporting.

- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals and accountants.

- Foster a culture of accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.

- Support talent development through training and skill enhancement.

Qualifications:

- 4-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in a similar leadership/controller role.

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and corporate finance.

- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally).

- Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and financial modeling
