Role : Financial Analyst (Japanese Language) Financial Modelling & Valuations

About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with strong expertise in Financial Modelling, Valuations, and Financial Statement Analysis, along with proficiency in the Japanese language. The ideal candidate will work closely with global clients across multiple time zones, developing financial models from scratch and supporting valuation, M&A, and investment analysis projects. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, valuation advisory, or financial consulting.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Modelling :

- Build robust financial models from scratch using Microsoft Excel.

- Develop integrated financial statements and projection models.

- Perform revenue, cost, profitability, cash flow, and forecasting analysis.

- Analyze key business drivers and prepare sensitivity and scenario analyses.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

2. Valuation & Investment Analysis :

- Perform company and business valuations using standard valuation methodologies.

- Conduct Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis (CCA), and Precedent Transaction Analysis.

- Analyze mergers & acquisitions (M&A) transactions and strategic investment opportunities.

- Prepare valuation reports and financial recommendations.

3. Financial Statement Analysis :

- Analyze financial statements prepared under GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting standards.

- Review income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Interpret financial performance and identify business trends.

4. Research & Market Intelligence:

- Conduct industry, company, and market research.

- Gather financial data using Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar financial databases.

- Prepare investment research reports and financial presentations.

5. Client Interaction :

- Work directly with international clients across multiple geographies.

- Participate in client discussions and deliver financial insights.

- Support project execution while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

6. Reporting & Documentation :

- Prepare management presentations and dashboards.

- Develop financial reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Maintain complete project documentation and analytical models.

- JLPT N2/N1 certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience in Investment Banking, Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Financial Advisory, or Valuation Consulting.

- Hands-on experience building financial models from scratch.

- Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar financial terminals.

- Experience supporting international clients across different time zones.
