Role Summary:

The Financial Analyst will be a core member of the Investment Strategy team, responsible for providing deep-dive financial analysis, industry insights, and robust financial models to support investment recommendations across various asset classes (e.g., Equity, Fixed Income, Private Markets).

This role requires a blend of quantitative expertise, financial acumen, and sharp communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop and maintain complex financial models (DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Transaction Multiples) for potential and existing portfolio companies and investment targets.

- Investment Research: Conduct in-depth research on industry-specific financial developments, broad macroeconomic trends, and competitor activity to identify compelling investment opportunities.

- Due Diligence: Perform comprehensive financial and operational due diligence on new investment opportunities.

- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare detailed investment memos, financial reports, and high-quality presentations to communicate clear, data-driven recommendations and insights to Portfolio Managers and the Investment Committee.

- Performance Tracking: Monitor the financial performance of portfolio investments, comparing actual results to financial forecasts and identifying key value drivers and risks.

- Process Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the financial analysis and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Full-time MBA/PGDM in Finance, Strategy, or equivalent, from a premier B-school.

- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Equity Research, Management Consulting, or Corporate Finance/FP&A is highly preferred.

Fresh MBAs with exceptional internships will be considered.

- Certification (Preferred): Progress towards or completion of the CFA/CA/FRM is a significant advantage.

- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas) and PowerPoint.

Experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ) is a plus.

- Analytical Rigor: Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Drive: Proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
