Role Purpose:

The Project Controlling Lead will manage end-to-end project financial controlling and reporting for manufacturing projects. The role focuses on improving overall project performance through strong financial analysis, cost control, forecasting, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage project controlling, financial reporting, and compliance with internal control guidelines

- Analyze variances between standard vs actual costs and present insights transparently

- Develop and maintain MHR models based on labour, payroll, and overhead costs

- Monitor project revenue, gross margins, WIP, inventory, and cost to completion

- Prepare, validate, and present EAC during project reviews

- Manage risks, savings, opportunities, and cost deviations

- Handle SAP/ERP transactions ensuring data accuracy and integrity

- Review BOM evolution, material rate variances, and purchase price variances

- Support project managers and work controllers in financial decision-making

Business Partnering:

- Work closely with Project Controllers, Procurement, Cost Managers, and Operations teams

- Act as a finance interface for sourcing, cost evolution, and productivity improvements

- Proactively flag cost drifts and margin risks

People Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of 25 project controlling analysts

- Review deliverables, improve processes, and enhance team capability

- Coach team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Mandatory Requirements:

- CA / CMA qualification

- 810 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Project Controlling

- Strong exposure to Product Costing, BOM Costing, MHR calculation

- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel & PowerPoint

- Strong people management skills

Desirable Skills:

- Knowledge of Power BI, VBA, Macros

- Exposure to multi-cultural / matrix environments

- Strong problem-solving and quality mindset
