Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer with strong expertise in accounting, taxation, and compliance, ideally from the consulting or financial services sector. The role will be based out of the New Delhi office and requires full-time, on-site presence. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Finance - India.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities: journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Drive financial process improvements and support automation initiatives.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (corporate tax, GST, WHT) and global requirements.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulators for filings and audits.
- Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on structures and reporting.
- Maintain investment records including receipts, distributions, and capital returns.
Program & Investment Support
- Collaborate with program teams to track the performance and financial compliance of portfolio entities.
- Assist in evaluating financial impact and conducting due diligence on mission-aligned investments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance: CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 4-8 years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in an MNC or financial services setup.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax structures, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle; advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to operate in a global, cross-functional work environment.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
