Finance Manager - UK Accounting - CA

Hiring for a London based fast growing accounting and consulting firm focusing on web3 startups and high growth technology companies.

We are looking for an ambitious finance manager with a mindset to work with startups in a fast paced environment and play a crucial role in the growth of the company. You will be working closely with CEO and CFO.

What a typical week looks like

- Carrying out regular transaction processing across a portfolio of clients and completing monthly finance tasks

- Design and setup bespoke processes for each client

- Overseeing the month-end close process, including identifying and posting journals

- Manage client finance inboxes using our collaborative mailbox tool. Triage and respond to inbound emails as appropriate

- Preparation of management accounts

- Carrying out analytical reviews of your own work, and that of other team members

- Supporting on ad-hoc projects including building financial models & business plans, fundraising and M&A transactions

- Recruitment, training and getting new members to the pace

- Providing exceptional service and expert financial advice to clients and build strong relationship

What we need from you:

- A qualified accountant with 5 or more years of experience working in finance, either in practice or business. You should have a solid understanding of the basics of accounting and financial management

- Passionate about innovative and start-up businesses. You'll be working with them day in, day-out so you'll need to enjoy it!

- Enthusiastic to rip up the rule book and challenge the status quo. We don't want more of the same, and nor should you.

- Confident in your abilities and a desire to learn from your mistakes. Failing fast is fine with us

- An enthusiastic and self-driven individual who can take initiative to build and roll out new processes on their own

Technology and systems:

- Comfortable with using cloud-focused software, such as Xero.

- Strong MS Office and Google Workspace experience, you will be significantly using Microsoft excel and Google doc

- Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent time management, attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills

- Self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job

- Ability lead engagements and work under pressure in a fast-paced start-up environment

- Someone who is excited about using new technology to make tasks more efficient and improve the way we work. You may not have experience of all our systems we are using, but you will be expected to pick things up quickly
