Job Description - Finance Manager (Strategy & Operations)
Role Summary:
We are looking for a high-impact Finance Manager Strategy & Operations with a strong consulting mindset to partner with business and digital leaders. This role will drive financial governance, portfolio transparency, and executive storytelling across strategic initiatives, enabling data-driven decisions at scale.
The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with structured problem-solving, strong communication, and digital fluency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Governance:
Own end-to-end financial management for strategic programs including:
- Budget planning & annual operating plans
- Monthly accruals and cost tracking
- Latest Estimate (LE) vs Forecast vs Actual analysis
- Build financial models and business cases for new initiatives and investments
- Track portfolio burn, commitments, and realized value
- Partner with procurement and business finance on cross-charges and vendor spend
Reporting, Insights & Executive Storytelling
Create leadership-ready dashboards and reports (monthly / quarterly business reviews)
- Translate complex financial data into clear narratives and actionable insights
- Drive variance analysis and highlight risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
- Prepare executive presentations for CDO / CIO / BU leadership
Stakeholder & Program Partnership
- Act as trusted finance partner to Strategy, Product, Data & AI leaders
- Support program managers with financial rigor across large portfolios
- Lead financial cadence with cross-functional stakeholders (Digital, Finance, HR, Procurement)
- Influence decisions through data, structured thinking, and compelling storytelling
Digital Enablement
- Leverage modern tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Power BI, Excel/Sheets) to automate tracking and reporting
- Support digitization of finance workflows and portfolio visibility
- Bring ideas to simplify processes using analytics, automation, or AI
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8- 10+ years of experience in Finance, Consulting, Strategy Ops, or Program Finance
Strong expertise in:
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Accruals and cost management
- LE vs Forecast vs Actual analysis
- Executive reporting
- Prior experience in consulting or enterprise transformation programs preferred
- Excellent communication, articulation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to synthesize numbers into business stories
- High comfort working with senior leadership
- Digital fluency strongly preferred (data tools, workflow platforms, dashboards)
