This role will support establishing and growing our Finance Shared Services, which will serve to provide support of accounting and finance related activities to the Company. The role will play an important part in Polaris- initiatives to drive standardization and centralization while identifying improvements in processes and other efficiencies. The role will provide Finance leadership to local Finance team members and serve as local point of contact for Polaris- current BPO relationship in Bangalore. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide leadership to accounting and finance resources located in Bangalore India - Manage completion of activities and deliverables by the team based upon agreed upon timelines - Manage the workload of local resources - Manage preparation and intake of new processes to be performed by the team - Assist in training team members on processes - Ensure all team members consistently follow procedures and all team members use the same processes - Collaborate with US Finance Leadership on future initiatives and strategic objectives for Finance Shared Services - Provide local engagement and assist in oversight of Polaris- BPO partner in Bangalore SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE - Bachelor degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration (or similar), preferably Master's degree - 10+ years- experience in Finance and Accounting - Manufacturing experience required - At least 5+ years- experience in Finance and/or Accounting shared services and/or outsourcing environments, preferably having participated in shared service implementation and ongoing SSC operations - Experience managing complex, global scale operations with diverse business units/divisions and different business models - Strategic thinking, change leadership skills and the ability to affect change and continuous improvement - Excellent communication and presentation skills in English - Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines WORKING CONDITIONS Position located in Bangalore, India.
