Job Title: Finance Manager - Private Equity

The company works closely with global fund managers to deliver accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and regulatory compliance across multiple fund structures and jurisdictions. About the Role:

The Finance Manager Private Equity is responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance activities for private equity funds. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate NAV calculations, investor reporting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires strong technical knowledge of private equity fund structures, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting:

- Oversee day-to-day fund accounting activities for private equity funds, including capital calls, distributions, and expense allocations.

- Review and ensure timely and accurate calculation of NAV, management fees, carried interest, and fund-level accruals.

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger, trial balances, and supporting schedules.

Investor & Stakeholder Reporting:

- Manage the preparation and review of investor reports, capital account statements, and performance reports.

- Act as a key point of contact for investor queries related to financial statements and fund performance.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to meet reporting timelines and client expectations.

Audit, Tax & Compliance:

- Lead audit coordination activities, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor queries.

- Support tax reporting requirements by coordinating with tax advisors and ensuring timely delivery of financial data.

- Ensure compliance with fund documentation, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.

- Maintain robust documentation and controls to support governance and risk management.

Team & Process Management:

- Manage, mentor, and review the work of junior team members.

- Allocate work, monitor deliverables, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.

- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

- Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and documentation of standard operating procedures.

Operational & Strategic Support:

- Support fund launches, restructurings, and closings from a finance and accounting perspective.

- Assist with onboarding of new funds, clients, or structures.

- Provide financial insights and analysis to support internal decision-making and client discussions.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Education:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Experience:

- 3-6 years of relevant experience in private equity fund accounting, asset management, or financial services.

- Proven experience handling private equity fund structures, including limited partnerships.

- Prior experience in managing teams and client-facing responsibilities.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of private equity accounting, NAV calculation, and investor reporting.

- Sound understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.

- Experience working with fund accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

- Ability to review complex financial data and identify errors or inconsistencies.

Soft Skills:

- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

- Professional services or asset management environment with strict reporting deadlines.

- High level of interaction with global clients and internal stakeholders.
