Position Title: Finance Manager (PR India)


Department: Finance & Accounts


Location: Pune, India


Reporting To:


General Manager (Direct Reporting)


CFO AP Region (Functional Reporting)


Job Summary:


The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for the India business, overseeing financial reporting, taxation, treasury, credit control, compliance, and financial planning activities.


The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely statutory and management reporting, maintaining compliance with group reporting requirements, and managing all local financial and tax obligations.


As a member of the senior management team, the Finance Manager will support business growth by providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance. The role also acts as a guardian of corporate policies, governance standards, and ethical compliance.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting & Compliance:


- Manage monthly management accounts, quarterly financial reviews, and statutory financial reporting.


- Oversee Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, IFRS Audit, and Statutory Audit (Ind AS).


- Manage tax and transfer pricing assessments and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.


- Establish efficient reporting systems and processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:


- Ensure compliance with corporate taxes, indirect taxes, GST, and statutory filings.


- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely filings.


- Manage cost audits, GST audits, and government regulatory audits.


Treasury & Banking:


- Manage treasury operations and banking relationships.


- Maintain control over financing and funding requirements.


- Prepare cash flow forecasts and work with the corporate finance team on funding strategies.


Credit Control & Working Capital:


- Establish effective credit control procedures to support sales while minimizing credit risk.


- Define credit limits and collection procedures.


- Manage letters of credit and discounting arrangements where applicable.


Accounts Payable & Financial Controls:


- Strengthen accounts payable processes and internal approval controls.


- Ensure timely vendor payments while maintaining strong financial governance.


Financial Planning & Business Support:


- Assist the General Manager and Asia CFO in financial reporting and analysis.


- Support business decision-making through financial insights and analysis.


- Manage the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises as required by HQ.


Governance & Secretarial Compliance:


- Coordinate with the Company Secretary on statutory matters.


- Support Board of Directors meetings and Annual General Meetings.


- Ensure major business decisions are properly documented and approved through board processes.


Team Management:


- Lead, manage, and develop the finance team to support business operations effectively.


- Ensure strong collaboration between local teams and corporate finance functions.


Additional Responsibilities:


- Supervise payroll and statutory payments.


- Manage consultants and advisors supporting the business.


- Participate in strategic decision-making and financial planning initiatives.


- Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the role.


Knowledge & Skills:


- Minimum 1012 years of experience managing finance operations.


- Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory and tax environment.


- Experience in manufacturing organizations, preferably with multinational ownership.


- Strong understanding of:


Financial reporting (Ind AS / IFRS)


Taxation and regulatory compliance


Treasury management


Working capital management


- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.


- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.


- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.


- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.


Education & Qualifications:


- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory


- 8 - 12 years of relevant financial experience


Technical Skills:


- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word


- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)


- Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities
