The person would play a key role in driving the function /category agenda and would work as copilot in delivering the business result. The key task would be to help to help the business in decision support through data analysis and business insight.  The Finance Manager position is based in Bangalore.  Key responsibilities :  Finance Manager will be a finance partner to the relevant business team. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis.   This individual will be an active member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business.  - Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling.  - Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.   - Work closely with the business managers to drive critical business deliverables like margins, vendor contract terms and contribute to Free cash flows  - Manage the financial planning and analysis effort, using the key input levers to the business.  - Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives.  - Establish and maintain operating and business metrics.  - Facilitate the Business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time   - Work with accounting team to drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.  Basic Qualifications :  - Chartered Accountant, MBA in finance from a reputed institute is a plus.  - 7+ years of relevant finance experience in management accounting and financial controlling.  - Proficiency in Excel, ERP application (preferable in Oracle), Business planning tool (preferable in Cognos), SQL.  Preferred Qualifications :  The ideal candidate will demonstrate :  - Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving  - Detail-oriented approach who takes ownership of projects.  - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management.  - Ability to extract, analyze and review information, and make appropriate recommendations.  - Work effectively in a team environment and partner well with people at all levels within an organization.  - Aptitude for leading teams, influencing others to follow toward an optimal solution.  - Experience working in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment similar to a high tech start-up.   - Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization.
