Finance Manager - Coal Mining

Norvex Solutions is hiring on behalf of a leading coal mining company operating in Kalimantan. This is a remote site-based position. Facilities and benefits will be provided as per mining company policies.

Role Summary:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing financial planning, cost control, reporting, compliance, and treasury functions for on-site coal mining operations. The role requires strong mining industry exposure and hands-on experience in operational finance within a remote mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Prepare and monitor operational and production budgets.

- Conduct cost variance analysis (OB removal, hauling, fuel, equipment rental, jetty operations).

- Support mine planning with financial projections and coal price analysis.

Cost Control & Monitoring:

- Monitor key mining cost drivers and contractor billing.

- Review CAPEX for heavy equipment, road development, jetty construction, and reclamation.

- Verify contractor invoices for compliance and accuracy.

Financial Reporting & Treasury:

- Prepare monthly financial statements, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.

- Manage daily cash flow, bank transactions, L/C documentation, and coal sales receipts.

- Oversee vendor payments and operational expenses.

Compliance & Regulatory:

- Ensure compliance with mining regulations (ESDM, RKAB, royalty, PNBP, land rent).

- Oversee taxation (PPH, PPN, VAT, withholding tax).

- Coordinate audits and statutory reporting.

Coal Sales & Documentation:

- Supervise coal sales invoicing (domestic & export).

- Verify survey reports, B/L, DO, and pricing accuracy before invoicing.

Asset, Inventory & Payroll Control:

- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.

- Monitor fuel, spare parts, and site inventory.

- Oversee payroll processing and labor cost budgeting.

Leadership & Coordination:

- Lead finance and accounting team at site.

- Coordinate with operations, procurement, HR, and survey teams.

- Present financial performance reports to senior management.

Candidate Requirements:

Nationality: Indian Citizen.

- Preference: Indian citizen currently working in Indonesia with a mining company.

- If not currently in Indonesia, must have 4-5 years of mining industry experience (strictly not more than 5 years).

- Strong experience in coal mining finance operations.

- Knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations and taxation preferred.

- Willing to work in remote mining site location (Kalimantan).

- Strong leadership and analytical skills.
