Finance Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting function for a growing organization in the manufacturing and trading space. The role involves end-to-end financial accounting, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and team leadership, with a strong focus on accuracy, process improvement, and business support.

The ideal candidate should be a strong people manager with excellent communication skills and hands-on expertise in Indian accounting and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations using Tally ERP.

- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per IGAAP.

- Ensure timely book closures, reconciliations, and accuracy of accounts.

- Manage P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, and General Ledger.

Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

- Manage tax computations, payments, reconciliations, and documentation.

- Stay updated with changes in taxation laws and compliance regulations.

Audit Management:

- Coordinate internal and statutory audits.

- Liaise with external auditors, address audit queries, and meet audit timelines.

- Implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and manage a finance team of 6-7 members across functions / locations.

- Mentor team members and monitor performance, accuracy, and timelines.

- Drive process discipline and operational excellence within the finance team.

Manufacturing & Trading Finance:

- Monitor costing, inventory accounting, and production-related controls.

- Manage vendor payments, receivables, credit control, and working capital.

- Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Process Improvement:

- Drive automation and efficiency improvements in accounting and reporting.

- Strengthen internal controls and implement best practices.

Requirements:

- 8-10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts (Manufacturing / Trading preferred).

- Strong hands-on knowledge of IGAAP, Tally ERP, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.

- Proven experience in handling audits and working with external auditors.

- Mandatory team handling experience (minimum 6-7 members / multiple branches).

- Excellent communication skills (non-negotiable).

- Stability in career: minimum 3-4 years tenure in previous organizations.

- Willingness to travel to factory location once a week.

Qualifications:

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA - Finance (or equivalent finance qualification)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in inventory accounting and cost control.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
