Finance Manager

- Responsible for enabling the business to make strategic decisions to drive performance across products and services, this role involves partnering with various business units to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive value creation.

Professional Know-how:

- Academic: CA / CMA / ACCA / CIMA

- Experience: 6-8 years experience in analysis, accounting & management reporting role

Primary Responsibilities:

- Drive financial control in a non-routine operational context (high degree of one-off programmes and activities)

- Work with Project Managers to convert project action plans into complete and accurate project financial trackers, including month end reconciliation to SAP

- Work with Project Managers to draft initial business cases for new project requests and use SAP projects for project financial control

- Review timesheet data for completeness/accurate and support continual improvement

- Collate updates and generate reports for Group Finance reporting

- Review and verify monthly savings reported

- Close and report month end including ledger close, flash reporting, balance sheet reporting

- Significant daily interaction with colleagues to provide accurate forecasting as well as understanding the key financial implications of the actions of the business.

- Produce accurate forecasts of costs and benefits.

- Leading the budgeting and forecasting exercise, periodic review of performance against targets and ensure that the key drivers of variances are explained.

- Assist finance team in streamlining existing processes and designing new reports and processes where necessary. Be proactive in providing feedback and ideas to develop and improve overall finance process.

- Experience in SAP (SAP projects)

- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, text manipulation, data validation, etc.) and MS Office applications

Desirable:

- Experience of working with service sector organisations

- Knowledge & working experience of other tools
