Finance Controller - Wellness Startup - CA

About Company: The company operates in the wellness industry, creating consumer-friendly nutritional supplements designed to support aspects of personal care and overall health needs for a broad audience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and collections.

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and MIS reports.

- Develop budgets and financial forecasts; analyze and report variances.

- Manage company investments, cash flow, and optimize free cash reserves.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings.

- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on schedule; handle TDS reconciliations and vendor account reconciliations.

- Oversee ESOP administration-managing share allocations, maintaining records, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

- Lead financial audits and ensure timely closure of books and statutory reports.

- Oversee legal and secretarial aspects related to financial operations.

- Leverage ERPs such as Tally to streamline and automate accounting processes.

- Track and analyze D2C and marketplace financial performance, ensuring profitability and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

- 5-6 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or controllership roles.

- Strong understanding of D2C business models and marketplace operations.

- Proficiency in Tally ERP and other financial management tools.

- In-depth knowledge of taxation, compliance, and audit processes.

- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
