A leading steel manufacturing organization in Africa is hiring an experienced Finance Controller to independently lead the Accounts & Finance function and drive strong financial governance, cost optimization, and best-in-class accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Compliance

- End-to-end supervision of accounts from daily transactions to finalization

- Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Debtors & Creditors ageing

- Sales & Purchase accounting

- Statutory compliance and audit handling

Finance & Treasury

- Working capital and cash flow management (daily & monthly)

- Fund raising and banking coordination

- CAPEX planning and funding

- Budgeted vs actual cash flow analysis

Product Costing & Cost Control

- Production cost optimization aligned with global benchmarks

- Overhead, conversion cost & yield analysis

- BEP calculation and cost variance analysis

- Raw material, manpower & asset utilization optimization

MIS & Reporting

- Monthly, quarterly & annual MIS for management

- Budget vs actual and business plan tracking

- Inventory valuation & ageing reports

- Pricing and competitor analysis

Systems & Process Excellence

- SAP implementation (team leadership role)

- SOP development & implementation across departments

- Stores, inventory & local supply chain oversight

- Ensuring ethical and economical resource utilization

Candidate Requirements

- 8-12 years of overall experience in Finance & Accounts

- Africa experience is mandatory

- Steel industry experience desirable

- Manufacturing industry experience acceptable

- Strong exposure to accounting finalization, costing & treasury

- Hands-on SAP experience preferred
