Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Audit Compliance
- Lead the preparation and finalization of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and ICAI regulations.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial closures.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for timely completion of audits.
- Assist in tax audits and ensure compliance with audit-related requirements.
2. Direct Tax & TDS Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable direct tax laws, including Income Tax and TDS.
- Manage preparation and filing of TDS returns.
- Provide support in responding to tax assessments, notices, and litigation matters.
3. Treasury & Banking Support
- Liaise with the banking and treasury team for efficient fund management and working capital optimization.
- Support banking operations related to loans, cash flow planning, and fund disbursement schedules.
4. Financial Modelling & MIS Reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models to support project planning and financial decision-making.
- Prepare regular MIS reports for management and lenders, ensuring accuracy and timely dissemination.
5. Project Support & Capitalization
- Work closely with the project execution team for the capitalization of assets in alignment with Ind AS standards.
- Assist in managing EPCG-related documentation and compliance.
6. GST & Indirect Tax Support
- Collaborate with the indirect tax team to ensure GST compliance.
- Provide financial data and insights for GST returns and audits.
7. SAP Implementation & Finance Automation
- Play a key role in the ongoing implementation of SAP and other automation initiatives to streamline financial operations.
- Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.
8. Strategic Role in a Large-Scale Steel Project
- Be a core member of the finance team for a greenfield 2.2 million Carbon Steel plant, currently under implementation.
- Support the financial planning and readiness for operationalization of the plant.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
- Experience: 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Steel / Manufacturing sector
- Industry Exposure: Strong preference for candidates who have worked in large manufacturing setups or project environments
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Ind AS, Tax Laws, SAP, and MS Excel/financial modelling tools
- Behavioural Traits: Strong leadership, attention to detail, project orientation, and ability to work in a plant/project environment
- Location Flexibility: Willing to be based at Jajpur, Odisha full-time
